More about Bonding the Police with Ordinary Citizens
This project enhances interaction between the police and ordinary citizen so that their old age animosity is broken down to give way to community based policing whereby each party participates actively in the policing. The sporting event - volleyball or football brings the police and citizen together to iron out their problems amicably before going to play. Those problems are first and foremost listed and discussed during police community dialogue forum before the outcome is celebrated through the sporting event which acts as a bonding mechanism.
Sporting is our major activity in that it mobilizes masses easily to attend it hence the most useful mechanism of reaching many people to disseminate our messages. It also breaks down barriers-ordinary people get feelings that the police are their sons and daughters who have been employed to serve them. In the circumstance, each party will have its own team and cheerers.
