More about BLEU BLANC BOUGE
We want to provide children in need with the same opportunities as others of their age by giving them the chance to experience the benefits of a healthy life and participate in sports and leisure activities. We build in their neighborhood high quality sports infrastuctures in the form of outdoor refrigerated community rinks, set up equipment banks and run activations such as learn to skate and ball-hockey, in collaboration with local schools and other community actors. Statistics show that 93% of young Canadians are not reaching the required one hour of physical activity per day. Children who are not active enough are at greater risk of developing chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other cardiovascular diseases. As children from low-income families are 3x more likely to have never practiced physical activities and organized sports, our actions are intended to ensure that their journey to a better and healthier life is free of hurdles.
