More about Bikes For All
We have set up 50 cycling clubs all over the country, especially in the peripheral areas, to enable Jewish, Arab, and immigrant youth at the margins of society to take part in a highly valued sport and thereby feel and become part of society. We have also organized national cycling events that have enabled many more children to experience this sport together.
More clubs and events are in the pipeline. Our cycling activities for children promote physical fitness, team spirit, leadership, self-esteem, road safety, and nutritional, mechanical and environmental awareness. National cycling events and international events have enabled peripheral children to meet as equals and with respect with others from different faiths and cultures. The national project works in collaboration with local schools, community centers, the social services, the children's families, and volunteers.
The children develop personal goals and plan their future. Their club, neighbourhood, and town are now on the national map, hosting other cyclists and bringing respect to their families and their community leaders. The young cyclists are no longer on the margin of society; they have gained in status and feel included in a national sport. They also give their parents a new interest and new hope.
