Beyond Boxing's target population is Justice Involved youth. To address this high need community, we have chosen to use sports as the forum within which we'll embed our program. We believe sports provide unique transformative opportunities, on an individual and group level. Our participants will come from a uniquely challenging community, with uniquely challenging constraints. One of these constraints is locating and relating to mentors and building successful peer based relationships. The way Beyond Boxing is hurdling this, is directly correlated to our belief in the value of a sports education. Beyond Boxing is embedding our program, our curriculum and learning in the boxing gym. We are using Boxing, it's facilities, mentors and peers, it's values, to communicate that positive change is possible, preferred and sustainable.
