To create real social cohesion and inclusion sport clubs must find a single point of entry to properly reconcile. They have been relying on scarce resources that have to be spread thinly. Our project intends confronting these challenges by making available suitable and accessible facilities that will be available to a mass participation and that will deliver programs designed to grow and develop skills amongst communities. Madiba’s words“Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand. Sport can create hope where once there was only despair. It is more powerful than government in breaking down racial barriers.”
As a strategic initiative this project will implement programs to use sport and recreation as a tool in promoting development and social cohesion. The project aims to simultaneously move beyond the mobilization phase with more emphasis on developing and nurturing new talent within a holistic development continuum.
