More about Action Impact
The Action Impact Network (AIN) is consortium of Sport and Embodiment NGO’s (several of whom are past Beyond Sport winners), who have formed a global partnership to establish a collective approach to structure and measure programmes targeting improvements in mental and physical wellbeing for at-risk youth, using sport as a platform. Action Impact members all use ‘sport’ or ‘embodiment activities’ to attract and engage at-risk beneficiaries from areas affected by conflict/poverty or, through partnerships with social and health services. In each case, sport programmes are delivered by local mentors who are trained and upskilled appropriately to deliver programmes that are sensitive to the needs of at-risk youth, and which promote mental health and wellbeing. Using a unified approach to monitoring and evaluation, Action Impact can accurately measure the effectiveness of the respective programmes. This in turn, will improve programme delivery across the sport-for-development sector, to the benefit of youth mental health and wellbeing across the globe.
