More about A Ganar
A Ganar is youth employment program that uses the power of football and other sports to help at-risk youth in Latin America and the Caribbean create positive identities, learn marketable skills, and then find jobs and/or return to school. Our youth often live in the world's most violent neighborhoods filled with gangs, drugs, and domestic violence. Some businesses refuse to consider them just because of where they live.
A Ganar combines sport based field activities with classroom activities, vocational training and internships with mentorships and community service to provide youth with a comprehensive support system. With support from the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank, USAID and several private donors, we now work in 16 countries throughout our region and have reached over 10,500 youth to date. A Ganar is an initiative of Partners of the Americas.
