“Para ti Se não faltares!” is an intervention project that aims to tackle school dropout rates and improve the overall school results of children and young adults, a priority of the EU 2020 strategy. It’s critical in our country to tackle absenteeism in schools and develop its human capital, regardless of gender, disability, religion or sexuality. So we partnered up with major institutions from the private, public and third sector in order to get a solid and integrated project structure that fully took advantage from the innovative methodology and unique strengths the project has: the well known expression of the “Power of the Game” related to the effect that sports and specially football have on children and young people and the SL Benfica’s strong influence as a love brand throughout Portugal (and internationally). By capitalizing this major assets to maximize the overall attractiveness of the project and applying a fair social contract with the students we could get extraordinary results since 2009.
