INNOVATION SITS AT THE HEART OF THE BEYOND SPORT SUMMIT & AWARDS
The Beyond Sport Summit & Awards 2016 will return to London on the 18th-20th October to highlight and celebrate the role of cutting edge innovation at the intersection of sport and social change. The three day event will explore the power of technology and innovation alongside sport, to push the boundaries in creating modern day solutions to tackle modern day challenges.
Hosted at Here East – a hub of modern enterprise and technology – this newly refurbished site in London’s iconic Olympic Park, will welcome the most powerful sport led, social innovators and global leaders to connect, engage and share out-of-the-box solutions on how sport can be used to tackle key social issues and engage with those on the fringe of society. The largest gathering of sport for development, the Beyond Sport Summit will once again be supported by dedicated Global Partners: Barclays, TIME and UNICEF.
Over the course of the three days delegates will experience pioneering projects using technology and innovative programming and enjoy in-depth learning on key issues where invention and sport are combined to create a more positive impact; they will celebrate the best and brightest projects from across the globe for their creative and daring work; and they will participate in a final day that will showcase the most interactive, engaging ways sport is being used to tackle modern day challenges through the ‘Innovation Hub’ – a multi zoned space that will be brought to life with inspirational speakers, cutting edge technology, and on-pitch demonstrations that showcase the new ways sport is being used to make a difference.

The Beyond Sport Summit is an annual gathering that brings together over 1,000 influencing figures from the world of sport, business and government to discuss how sport can be used to address social issues and trigger positive change. The Beyond Sport Awards, supported by Comic Relief, promote, support and reward the best projects across the globe that use sport to drive social change, are run in conjunction with the Beyond Sport Summit.
