UK CHARITY LAUNCHES UNIQUE LEADERSHIP AND HOSPITALITY OPPORTUNITY FOR COMPANIES

To provide a “different type” of hospitality for sport stakeholders, UK-based charity The Change Foundation has launched InspireChange, a one-day event that mixes sport, leadership exploration, team-building and networking opportunities with a high-level of hospitality for those looking for a different way to entertain their employees and clients.

Taking place on 18th September, the first InspireChange day will be held at the 2012 Olympic rowing venue, and will include the opportunity to race dragon boats on Eton Dorney Olympic Lake, play some touch rugby and cricket, network with other London-based companies, and develop unique leadership skills. All of the day’s exciting activities will be organised and led by The Change Foundation’s international experts and coaches, who have developed innovative and engaging games all over the world, from creating Street20 Youth Leaders in Afghanistan, to working with child soldiers in Sri Lanka, to setting up blind cricket in the West Indies.

The opportunity comes at a time where the hospitality sector is adapting to a changing marketplace, where companies are shifting their strategies and objectives to align more with social outcomes. Recent studies show that consumers, clients and stakeholders are more likely to pay extra for products and services from companies that are committed to positive social and environmental impact. In the sport industry specifically, fans are becoming more socially conscious: renowned reports have show that fans are more likely to support sponsors that engage in socially responsible activities.

All fees for the InspireChange event go directly to The Change Foundation, which uses sport and dance as tools to engage the hardest to reach young people across London. Through youth-leadership and innovative techniques, The Change Foundation gives a voice to the young people on its programmes and involves them in their design and development. This helps raise confidence and self-esteem which leads to the growth of independence, a positive mindset, the development of life skills and greater employability of young people.

The launch of InspireChange also plays a part of the charity's yearlong campaign called #IAmChange where they are celebrating and rewarding young people who have truly made a change for the better.
Teams of up to 11 can participate. To learn more and to book your place call Andy 07786 238168 or email [email protected].
