TGR Foundation launches educator learning series

July 31, 2020

Sport and STEM Alliance member TGR Foundation are excited to announce the launch of their new educator learning series, TGR EDU: Explore. The program allows users to explore a free-to-use digital platform, developed by the TGR Foundation and their partners Discovery Education, and has recently debuted the first module of a new six-part e-learning series for educators.

Adding to the 40+ resources on the site, the series will introduce educators to new approaches, pedagogy and learning strategies designed to transform their classrooms into active learning environments.

To celebrate the launch a virtual party was held including a select audience and special guest speakerChristella Burnette, who is also featured in the first module, (RE)Defining STEM. Although Burnette teaches 10th grade English and didn’t see herself as a STEM educator prior to attending STEM Studio, the five-day training program changed her perspective and approach to teaching.

Some description

An alternative to TGR Foundation’s signature in-person and virtual STEM Studio training sessions, the new on-demand professional development arm of TGR EDU: Explore allows educators to take ownership of their growth and prepare their students to succeed. With no-cost required and a certificate with completion of each module, educators can get started on their own time and at their own pace.

The redesigned website and first module of the new series are live and accessible now at TGREDUExplore.org.
