Saints Foundation receive continued support for Pan Disability League

The Saints Foundation have announced Irwin Mitchell LLP as the official programme partners of the Pan Disability League.

After a successful inaugural year in 2016-17, the league returns for the 2017-18 season with the partnership allowing increased participation and inclusion for people of all physical and cognitive disabilities. Irwin Mitchell’s sponsorship will enhance the offer for teams through the provision of equipment, coaching, facilities and trophies.

Additionally Irwin Mitchell’s staff will volunteer their time in support of league fixtures, events and fundraising activities demonstrating their commitment to this area of work.

Irwin Mitchell support a multitude of different disabled sporting activities across the country, and we are immensely grateful to be chosen as the focus of their support in the Hampshire area.

Sam Fulling, Saints Foundation Manager, said,

‘Saints Foundation’s Pan Disability League is a great example of community organisations working together for social good, and Saints Foundation is delighted to have such a strong supporter of disability activities in Irwin Mitchell LLP on board as a programme partner. We have had a successful first year with over 200 participants involved, and believe that over the course of the next few years the league will significantly increase participation at grassroots level.’

Justine Spencer, partner and head of the clinical negligence team in Irwin Mitchell’s Southampton office, said:

“Due to the nature of our work, we see first-hand some of the life-changing injuries our clients have; so we appreciate and understand just how important a role sport has with recovery and rehabilitation. We’re delighted to be announced as the official programme partners of Saints Foundation’s Pan Disability League, as the Foundation gives disabled children and young adult’s opportunities and support they vitally need. This is something we’re really passionate about assisting, as reflected in our Don’t Quit, Do It campaign, which helps make disability and inclusive sports more accessible.”

The 2017-18 Pan-Disability league kicks off with its first fixture on Sunday 8th October for adults and Sunday 22nd October for Under 16’s, with league fixtures continuing on a monthly basis through to the season finale in May.
