L&G Launch Third Annual Not A Red Card Awards

May 22, 2020

This week, leading UK financial services company, Legal and General, once again began accepting applications for the Not A Red Card Awards to highlight UK individuals and businesses who champion mental wellbeing at work.

The Awards are an important part of the company's 'Not A Red Card' campaign that has been using sporting messages, values and talent to help employees and employers understand the support available to address mental health issues in their place of work - and that talking about mental health is Not A Red Card offence!

The Awards and surrounding campaign were developed in collaboration with our consultancy arm, thinkBeyond.

Some description

Four-time Olympic medallist Swimmer, Rebecca Adlington, has become the latest sport star to get involved with the campaign. The Not A Red Card campaign began in 2017 as Legal & General wanted to use sport as a way to raise awareness of, and de-stigmatise talking about, mental health in the workplace.

“We can’t wait to hear Rebecca’s own mental health story and her involvement will support UK businesses small and large across the country to learn from the world of elite sport,” Legal and General said in a statement.

“It has never been more important than ever to progress the mental health conversation and we hope that it the coming months you and your own organisation can gain insights from this award-winning campaign.”
