LA GALAXY & MLS WORKS HOST WOMEN'S SOCCER CLINIC

In continuation of the LA Galaxy's 20 for Twenty community program, the LA Galaxy hosted an LA Galaxy Women’s Soccer Clinic at StubHub Center ahead of the U.S. Women’s National Team match against Mexico on Sunday May 17. The women’s clinic held different activities designed to promote the power of women in sports throughout the day.

The event included a skills clinic, nutrition talk, coaching workshop and a question and answer session with former USWNT star Julie Foudy, among other activities. Sunday marked a day highlighting the significance of women in sports as participants then went on to attend the USWNT vs. Mexico match following the event.

The Women’s Soccer Clinic Sunday was in conjunction with MLS WORKS’ Don’t Cross the Line platform as the LA Galaxy are committed to showcase female athletes throughout the year in support of the initiative. Don’t Cross the Line promotes unity, respect, fair play, equality and acceptance throughout soccer communities of Major League Soccer.

20 for Twenty is a year-long initiative that will see the implementation of 20 unique community service acts to celebrate the Galaxy’s 20th season in Major League Soccer. The Galaxy Foundation has previously hosted a Build Day with Habitat of Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, participated in Read Across America, visited partners CHLA, worked with Heal the Bay to help clean Redondo Beach and participated in March of Dimes.
