Comic Relief are focused on bringing about real and lasting change by tackling the root causes of poverty and social injustice. Help do just that by using your experience gained in international development and working with young people at risk to support the development of a portfolio of grants under the Sport for Change remit.
Reporting to the UK Grants Manager you will play a key role in ensuring Comic Relief deliver effective and efficient grant making by assessing, managing and reviewing funded grants. Grant goals will cover Education, Children & Young People at Risk and People Affected by HIV & Aids predominately. Day-to-day you will contribute to the development of our grant making strategy with reference to sport for change approaches, working with other funders, networks and policy makers to inform strategy and to influence others. You will also short list and analyse grant applications as well as report and make recommendations. In addition you will provide feedback, advice and guidance as well as promote learning to ensure grants perform to high standards
This is a high profile role calling for extensive understanding of international development and experience of working with young people at risk and/or the Sport for Change field. Comfortable building strategic relationships you possess excellent project management skills and will have been involved in monitoring and evaluating development programmes in developing countries. You will also have exceptional analytical and decision making abilities. A strategic thinker you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the drive to ensure Comic Relief deliver against our mission.
