Get celebrated for your work on International Women's Day

Today, Wednesday 8th March, marks International Women’s Day (IWD). It is a day to celebrate the contribution of women past and present and an opportunity to continue striving for equality in all areas of modern society for a more equal future.

Beyond Sport has continuously advocated for the role the role that sport can play in empowering women and facilitating gender equality and in 2017, Beyond Sport is placing the Sustainable Development Goals at the core of the annual awards.

Each award aligns with at least one of the SDGs, including the ‘Sport for Equality Award’ which recognises SDG5: Gender Equality and SDG10: Reduced Inequalities. The award is open to any organisation, project, or programme using sport as a tool to enable equality between demographics-whether that be gender, economic, racial, religious, sexual orientation or physical ability.

Check out more on the Sport for Equality Award and enter today if you are working towards Global Goals Gender Equality and Reduced Inequalities.
