Coaches Across Continents’ has joined up with Peace One Day, One Day Goal initiative. In support of the initiative Coaches Across Continents have developed a Football Resource Packet that includes fives football games that is available to any coach or organisation anywhere in the world. More than a million children stand to benefit from the program ranging across 130 countries worldwide.
The games in the Football Resource Packet will educate children and coaches on important topics such as understanding violence, stereotypes, gender, equality, teamwork and respect, and create behavioural change in their problem-solving abilities without resorting to violence. The packet has been created to educate children in the lead up to Peace Day on 21 September.
The Coaches Across Continents Packet, available in 6 languages: English, Portuguese, French, German, Spanish and Swahili is free for all. All that you need to do to get your Coaches Across Continents Resource Packet is email [email protected], submitting your name, the organisation/team you work with, your country of residence, how many boys and girls you [or your organisation] work with, and which language you prefer.
Coaches Across Continents is a global leader in the sport for social impact movement. They partner with local organizations to implement initiatives that focuses on local social issues such as: female empowerment, including gender equity; conflict resolution, including social inclusion; health and wellness, including HIV behaviour change; and other life skills.
One Day One Goal, that Coaches Across Continues are supporting uses the power of football to bring people together in peace and to spread awareness of Peace Day, 21st September.
One Day One Goal Harnesses the incredible potential of ‘the beautiful game’, there have been thousands of One Day One Goal matches played in each of the 193 UN Member States since its launch in 2008.
