In the build-up to the Beyond Sport Summit 2014 in Johannesburg, South Africa, we are delighted to be teaming up with Tsogo Sun as our Official Hotel Partner over the course of The Summit. 

With the Beyond Sport Summit 2014 in Johannesburg, South Africa weeks away, we have put together a short guide for all attendees regarding transport and accommodation for the duration of the event.

Sandton Sun Beyond Sport Summit & Awards Host Hotel 

Price Range - £££

Boasting a total of 334 rooms, the Sandton Sun’s accommodation comprises a variety of options across categories that include African Premium, African Premium Deluxe, Executive Studios, Luxury Suites and Presidential Suites.

Garden Court Sandton City  

Price Range – ££

A total of 444 rooms are offered, each furnished in a modern style. Aside from basic features such as baths and separate showers, facilities in each room include invitingly comfortable double or queen beds, workstations, air-conditioning, tea and coffee stations, DSTV, plug points and porter service among others.

Southern Sun Katherine Street 

Price Range - ££

122 spacious rooms, the hotel offers a range of accommodation options for guests, including Standard Rooms and Superior Rooms, as well as Twin and Two Bedroomed Suites.

Garden Court Morningside (5 minute taxi ride from Host Hotel)

Price Range - ££

150 en-suite rooms offered, guests have a choice between double twin beds or queen beds.

54 On Bath – Rosebank  (12 -15 minute taxi ride from Host Hotel)

Price Range - £££

54 on Bath is a sophisticated home away from home that provides the ideal base for your trip to Rosebank. A total of 74 elegantly decorated rooms are offered,

Southern Sun Hyde Park  (12 – 15 minutes taxi from host hotel)

A total of 132 stylish en-suite rooms are offered at the hotel, comprising twin and king beds

We ask all interested delegates to download The Beyond Sport Summit 2014 Hotel Booking Form, choose your desired hotel, fill out all necessary details noting the reference number and then email it directly to the hotel of choice (email addresses are on the booking form). Hotel bookings are on a first come first served basis.

It is possible to take the Gautrain from O.R. Tambo to Sandton as opposed to taking a taxi. The Gautrain will cost R135. The route can be seen here

Transport to and from summit venues will be provided for all delegates from the Host Hotel each morning - more details will be announced closer to the time; any guests staying in other hotels will be expected to make their way to the Sandton Sun to take advantage of the free transport on offer. If you plan to use the arranaged transport but are staying any where other than the Sandton Hotel please let us know. 

All hotels, unless stated are within walking distance from the host hotel where the coaches will be leaving from.
