Aviva launch community fund to support local teams and organisations
On Tuesday, Aviva launched the 2017 Aviva Community Fund, a nationwide initiative offering financial support to local sports clubs and community projects across the UK. They are now taking applications for their grants competition, in which they have £1.5 million in funding to give away to various organisations.
Premiership Rugby has come out in support of the programme, encouraging local rugby clubs and sports teams across the country to enter an application. To make sure community projects of all sizes have the chance to win, Aviva is offering four funding levels, ranging from up to £1,000 to up to £25,000.
Aviva will offer support and funding to causes that make a real difference in communities all around the UK. Last year, the Fund helped hundreds of local projects turn dreams into reality and, now launching for a third time, they are offering more support than ever before.
The process is very straightforward to enter a project from your local organisation or club. The application must outline why the project is so important to your community, and what difference these much-needed funds could make. The project will then receive votes from the public to determine how far it goes in the competition.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on the 10th October.
