More about Stand Together Week
Stand Together Week is a call to action from the City, the Timbers, and our partners to inspire people to get involved in the community. It is a week of service addressing the social issues in Portland that our club and community brand, Stand Together, focus on throughout the year: sport, health & fitness, education, and the environment. These issues are critical in our region as fewer kids than ever are active, more kids than ever are dropping out of school, and environmental instability looms as a long term threat to the health of our community.
Stand Together Week brought a spotlight not only to these issues, but to the incredible organizations throughout the city who are working hard to address them. By partnering with corporate partners, using our brand, and engaging current and former players and the team mascot, we raised more visibility of and connections to these organizations to leverage their work. The visibility raised for the nonprofit groups we work with through marketing and by fans and partners volunteering for them had a significant and meaningful impact for each project as well as for the organizations overall.
