More about SSET
The SSET Centre aims to provide international sport organisations with broad reach and influence with the tools and know-how to integrate more sustainable environmental, economic and social practices into sport. By targeting the top of the pyramid, they can effect widespread change by encouraging spectators, athletes, sponsors, host regions, media, and member organisations to put in place sustainable initiatives. SSET does not deal with one specific issue but rather provides a sport specific framework and vocabulary for sustainability. SSET started in 2008 as a planning tool for events to implement sustainability. In January 2010, the guide was expanded into the SSET Centre to become a wider reaching knowledge transfer platform and community of users.
