More about Sport to Tackle Stigma Against LGBTI in Nepal
Inclusivity is at the heart of the event, which reflected by the involvement of diverse participants. This open display of community integration is needed to further reduce the stigma aimed at the LGBTI community. Different games helped them to capacity and skill with the visibility in the community and to create awareness through sports.
The visibility engagement of the LGBTI community in sport promoted through the media, enabling a collaborative approach with the different levels including the LGBTI community in the existing sport provision, it followed the concepts on the opening up and showing their presence and the visibility in the community.
The BDS website highlighted the events through the use of visual imagery. The photographs promoted and advertised the benefits of physical activity to encourage other LGBTI individuals to engage in sports. The program improved the physical/emotional health and social well-being of the LGBTI community as no appropriate sport provision exists.
