The specific social issue we tackle is student violence. The main causes are student politics and social club affiliations in academic institutions. We organize mini tournaments in the sports mentioned above to bring them together. We do distribute flyers and hold seminars for these youths to train them as peace ambassadors in their various academic and social entities.
Between 2000- 2008 academic years, the average number of students been expelled countrywide per year was about 7,500. Student violence has also caused a considerable number of death cases. This has it's adverse effect as it increases the number of school dropouts. We use sport as a podium to bring them together and this has worked out perfectly.
