The Caravan Sport is an action that happens in several Brazilian cities that have low human development index - HDI and childhood – geographically and socially isolated Brazilians groups. The Caravan has a complete methodology for the mobilization of the municipalities, to integrate actions that assist children and adolescents through a major sporting event, training of teachers and local educators in Educational Sports, articulation and political support for the local continuity of the method applied through community involvement and public authorities in the construction of Strategic Plans.
The areas in Brazil served by the Caravan are: semi-arid, amazonia, Indian communities, quilombola communities, suburban of big urbun centers. The Caravan involves the education departments of the municipalities visited, which hosts children and adolescents in public schools that will be met, educators, young players and the community.
The Caravan Sport promotes care for children and adolescents in workshops in several sports: soccer, tennis, basketball, volleyball, athletics, judo, gymnastics and canoeing, adapted to each situation and led by national athletes and teachers of the IEE. Each year is held a forum bringing together representatives of over 40 municipalities involved in the Network Sports Caravan, and other actions of continuity are hold regionally.
