More about Sinnar Taluka Amateur Athletic Association
Founded in 2004, STAAA provides round the year training to amateur athletes in rural & tribal Maharashtra and holds annual road races and competitive sporting events . More than 14000 children (under the age of 16) have taken part in the annual Sinnar Road Races and it has unearthed many talented runners who have represented the state of Maharashtra in the National competitions and cleared the physical test to join the police force in Maharastra.
An annual winter Track & Field meet has provided the opportunity to exhibit their athletic skills in events such as 100m -1000m track events, shot put, discus, long jump, and javelin which then allows recruiters to identify amateur talent.
